Logos a la Trois

For Graphic Design we had to design a logo for 1.) a public service company, 2.) a TV Station, and 3.) a snack company. My friend Simeone Santana came up with Jack of Spades Arcades, Gamer Heaven TV, and Moon Cheddar Puffs, Inc. as his multinational corporations. Done in Illustrator, thought it'd be nice to post them.

New Genres- "Wakko's America"

By no means am I a professional singer. I made this as an audio piece for my New Genres class at LACHSA. I sang along to Wakko from the Animaniacs as he sings the names of the states and their capitals. Enjoy.

P.S. I love the Animaniacs. Whatever injustice I've done to Wakko's song isn't meant to harm.

Illustration- Floating

This piece has no name yet. It's for my Illustration class in school, taught by Alejandro Gehry, son of Frank Gehry, whom you may have heard about. I was at Barnes & Noble one day and came upon some children's book about space. It had all these amazing images of what the future of space travel would look like. It's a horrible thought, I know, but I wondered how the book might change if the scene was changed to one of alarm. The piece isn't finished; there are no severed tethers that would've connected the astronauts to the shuttle. I'll be posting my progress on this piece regularly. What do you think? Done over time, with Copics on Bristol board.

New Genres- Cellphone Piece

This piece was made for my New Genres class. The assignment was to create a piece using a cellphone. I don't own a cellphone. I considered using a friend's phone, but I never felt very satisfied with the ideas I came up with.
I decided to draw the piece out as commentary on the ubiquity of cellphones today. (I read somewhere that in 1989 there were only a couple of wireless networks in a few of the world's major cities. Twenty years later the only place a cellphone would have no reception at all would probably be the Himalayan Mountains.)
I chose a wedding because I felt it would be one of the situations with which to convey the message most easily. If you find it humorous in any way, that's just a bonus.

Passenger's Lounge

I created this blog because my New Genres teacher, a certain Clement Hanami, told us that creating a blog would be our final assignment for class. Though that's the main purpose of it, it's also meant to get me acquainted with technology and the Internet, etc. Apart from that, I hope to recieve feedback on the posts here, which will include artwork I've made for and during classes at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. I'll use the blog to divulge my interests and my thoughts on pretty much anything to anyone listening.
So, with that said, warmest of "helloes" and I hope to hear from you all. Good night and good luck.
